On Friday the 4th of October odd lights in the sky were spotted by local residents around 9 o'clock at night firing the imaginations of all who spotted the phenomena. Some folks thought it maybe a UFO, others a meteor and local councillor Owen Hanley who filmed the event (see video below) claims it was some sort of explosion.
Mary, no last name given, told the Irish examiner that she saw 3 lights following each. Personally after viewing the video my money is on it being a meteor that broke up as it entered our atmosphere burning up as it did so creating the lights that were witnessed.
